Photographs By Viggo Mortensen To Be On Display In Iceland
Actor Viggo Mortensen, recently nominated for an Oscar for his role in "Eastern Promises", is also an accomplished painter and photographer. He has had a number of exhibitions of his work throughout the world. According to Iceland Review Online, Viggo Mortensen will open an exhibition of his photographs at the Reykjavík Museum of Photography on May 31, 2008. The exhibit will be titled "Skovbo" in Danish, or "Forest People" in English, and will be pictures of nature, taken in Iceland and elsewhere. The article says that the photos will be available for sale at low prices and the profits will go to the Iceland Nature Conservation Association.
Viggo Mortensen has published several books of his art, photography, and poetry with his own publishing company, Perceval Press.
