Oscar and Tony Award winning actor Joel Grey has been acting for more than 60 years. According to an interview with CBS News, he began taking photographs about 35 years ago, but he he didn't go public with his photography until he was reassured that it was actually good. Joel Grey’s photographs are currently on display at Frank Pictures Gallery in Santa Monica, California. The exhibit, “Looking Hard”, is made up of large format prints. According to the gallery “His subjects are industrial sites, abandoned buildings, graffiti, wall art — transformed into a poignant homage to beauty.” Mr.Grey will be in attendance for an artist’s reception September 23, 2007 from 6:30 - 9:30 pm. Joel Grey has also published two books of his photography, Looking Hard at Unexamined Things and Pictures I Had to Take.
