Mark Mothersbaugh's Postcard Diaries in New Orleans
During his downtime on early worldwide tours with DEVO, Mark Mothersbaugh began illustrating on postcards to send to his friends and family. He still creates these postcards, and has been every day for over 30 years. Mothersbaugh still produces from one to a couple dozen new postcard-sized images per day.
The 2008 Gallery Tour, "Postcard Diaries", features high-resolution, limited edition prints of Mark Mothersbaugh's works. The next showing of Postcard Diaries will be l'art Noir Gallery in New Orleans, Louisiana beginning January 12, 2008. Mark Mothersbaugh will not attend the show in person due to DEVO rehearsals in Los Angeles. However, l'art Noir will be conducting a live video conference with Mark during the opening reception.
