In conjunction with the publication of his book The Full Body Project,
R Michelson Galleries in Northampton, MA will host an exhibition of actor/director Leonard Nimoy's "Maximum Beauty" photographs. "Maximum Beauty" consists of photographs of large-bodied women. In most of the photographs the women are nude. The exhibition, which is described as "an examination of our concepts of beauty and sexuality", runs from October 25 - January 15, 2007. The event will include a lecture by Leonard Nimoy on Friday, November 2 and a general reception with Mr. Nimoy on Saturday, November 3. There will also be a symposium that the gallery describes as "a series of talks on the image of fat women in life, art, and the media".
