According to his website, actor Tony Curtis has had a second career as a painter for close to 30 years. He says that he now focuses more on his paintings than on making movies. When asked in a recent interview posted at MyDesert.com about how being a celebrity influences him as a painter he says, "Paintings are ... an expression of myself and perhaps my celebrity helped me have the confidence to be able to do that in my life now. But it has no effect on my paintings. I don't paint as a celebrity."

An exhibit of Tony Curtis' artwork is currently on display at Dezart One Gallery in Palm Springs. The event, titled "The Essential Tony Curtis Collection" will continue through December 30, 2007. The image posted here is a painting by Tony Curtis.
