Bob Dylan Artwork: The Drawn Blank Series, 2009
Music great Bob Dylan created a collection of drawings and sketches while on tour between 1989 and 1992. These items were published in a book titled "Drawn Blank" in 1994. At the suggestion of Ingrid Mössinger, the curator of the Kunstsammlungen Museum, in Chemnitz, Germany, Dylan re-worked these drawings into paintings, forming a collection titled "The Drawn Blank Series". The paintings were first shown in Germany in 2007, and in the UK in 2008. A selected collection of Bob Dylan's paintings were chosen to be published as signed limited edition graphics. Each edition is published in a limited number of no more than 295 copies worldwide and are personally signed by the Bob Dylan. The 2008 collection included 29 pieces and is now sold out from the publisher. There may be limited availability in galleries. A new 2009 collection of 8 limited edition graphics has now been published. The 2009 collection is now on exhibit at Castle Galleries throughout the UK.
