A Thousand Things: Photos by Jason Mraz

a thousand things by Jason MrazGrammy nominated singer/songwriter Jason Mraz said in a recent interview "For the past five years that I've been touring, I've taken Polaroid instant film; Polaroid 600, the cheapest kind you can buy. And there's really something quite novelty and interesting about this film, and now I've taken thousands and thousands of pictures." Mraz has now released a book of these Polaroid photos titled "a thousand things". The book contains 54 photographs. In the book liner notes, Jason says "None of the pictures in this collection have been altered or modified after they were ejected from the camera. Any streaks, scratches or double exposures are just some of the accidental beauty marks that lure me into this brand of instant photography." He also notes that Polaroid instant cameras are no longer made. Actually, the full title of the book is "a thousand things - - an eco-friendly and inspirational Polaroid travelogue of music and people". The eco-friendly book was printed on woodfree paper. The cover stock is fully recyclable and chlorine free. All printing was done with soy-based inks. Only environmentally harmless glues were used in the binding process. All printing films, plates and waste paper were recycled.

The book includes a foreward by legendary rocker Graham Nash, who is also a photographer.
