Paintings by Luciano Pavarotti on Exhibit in Rome
An exhibition dedicated to Luciano Pavarotti is currently on display at the Vittoriano museum in Rome as part of a series of tributes marking the first anniversary of his death. In addition to costumes, music sheets and films from the opera star's career, there is also memorabilia from his personal life, including a collection of paintings by Pavarotti. According to his wife, Nicoletta Mantovani, painting was one of Pavarotti's favorite hobbies. The show will run through Dec. 8, 2008.
