Filmmaker and author Clive Barker is known for his horror and fantasy books and movies. Barker has directed and produced films, written for television, and he has created comics, models, video games and toys. However, Barker is also a prolific visual artist. He has exhibited his paintings in Los Angeles, Chicago and New York. In 2005 Barker released a book of his artwork, Clive Barker Visions of Heaven and Hell.
The next exhibition of Clive Barker’s artwork, Parade, will be Friday, July 25, 2014, at Alexander Salazar Fine Art Gallery in San Diego on the weekend of Comic Con. The exhibition will be of Barker’s erotic artworks. Artwork will be available for purchase and you must be 18 or over to attend. Contact the gallery for more information.
Following this event will be an exhibition of Clive Barker’s artworks at Century Guild Gallery in the Culver City Arts District in Los Angeles in August 2014. The gallery describes the show as “A juxtaposition of small drawn artworks from 1977 with new painted works from 2014.” The event will also include the release of Barker’s Kickstarter funded art book, IMAGINER.
