German born golfer Sandra Gal began her LPGA career in 2008. Since then she has 1 win, 15 top 10 finishes, and more than $2 million in earnings. Gal cites painting as one her favorite pastimes off the golf course. She began painting at the age of three, encouraged by a family friend. She began golfing a couple of years later when her parents gave her a set of colored plastic clubs for her 5th birthday.

She says in her website bio:

In the mean time I had a bunch of other hobbies. I played tennis, I  started ballet and violin, I got to do wakeboarding for a few years, I played theatre at school and of course I have always been painting. My mom still has some paintings from when I was about three years old, and since then you probably cannot even count them. It’s a great way for me to relax and let out my creative side.

Earlier this year Gal auctioned her painting Sunshine after Rainfall to benefit The First Tee of Lakeland, Florida. The painting sold for $3,007.00.

Sandra Gal talks about her passion for painting in the video below.
