Actor Richard Grieco first became known to many from his role as Officer Dennis Booker in the television series”21 Jump Street” in the 1980s. He has also played many other film and television roles including If Looks Could Kill, Mobsters, and A Night At The Roxbury. In addition to acting, Grieco is also a musician, singer, and a painter. He has been painting for 20 years but only recently began showing his work.

Grieco describes his painting style as “abstract-emotionalism”. He explains what this means and talks about his artwork in the video below.

The next exhibition of Richard Grieco’s artwork, titled “Sanctum of a Dreamer”, will go on display August 10, 2013 at Gallerie Sparta in West Hollywood, California.¬†Gallerie Sparta’s owner Stephan Sparta says, “Richard’s passion for painting, focused over a twenty year period of personal exploration has developed into his own emotional visual language. We have been following his ascent and are excited to be the exclusive gallery to premier his explosive paintings in Los Angeles.” A portion of proceeds from sales throughout the exhibit will be donated to the Wolf Connection Foundation. There will be an opening night event with Grieco in attendance on August 15. The show continues through September 6, 2013. Contact the gallery for more information.
