Graham Nash: Life on the Road, a new exhibition of photographs by legendary singer/songwriter, musician Graham Nash, will open in April at Proud Camden in London. Presented by Proud Galleries, the exhibition includes portraits of family and friends, images of life on the road, still lifes and landscapes, street photographs, and a unique series of self-portraits, shot between 1969 and 2003. In addition, according to the gallery, it includes “images of his musical muses, acquaintances and closest collaborators, this intimate series features Joni Mitchell, Neil Young, David Crosby and other 70s greats.”

While best known as a founding member of The Hollies and later Crosby, Stills and Nash; Graham Nash was introduced to photography by his father at 10 years old, Graham Nash has had a lifelong interest in photography. In 1990, along with his partner Mac Holbert, Nash founded  Nash Editions, a company which does fine art digital imaging and printmaking. Nash Editions is recognized as the world’s first professional fine-art digital printmaking studio. In 2005 Nash Editions was recognized by the Smithsonian Institution for its role in the invention of digital fine art printing.

About photography, Nash said the following: “I sense the very same energy in photography that I find in music. Through these rock ’n’ roll photos we are conveying what is so difficult to put into words: how the spirit of rock ’n’ roll is mainly an attitude; an attitude of ‘get out of my way, I have something to say here.’ Whether you’re a country singer, a pop, rock, blues, or gospel singer, it makes little difference to the unceasing eye of the camera.”

Graham Nash has released a publication of his photography, Eye To Eye: Photographs by Graham Nash. Other publications include Nash Editions: Photography and the Art of Digital Printing and Taking Aim: Unforgettable Rock ‘n’ Roll Photographs Selected by Graham Nash, where he curated the work of others.

Graham Nash: Life on the Road opens to the public April 3, 2013 and continues through May 19, 2013 at Proud Camden, located at The Horse Hospital Stables Market Chalk Farm Road London NW1 8AH.
