The Art of Graham Nash

Music legend Graham Nash has been exhibiting his photography for many years. His interest in photography began as a child, inspired by his father, an amateur photographer. His involvement in photography continued throughout his musical career. In 1990, along with his partner Mac Holbert, Graham Nash founded Nash Editions, a company which does fine art digital imaging and printmaking. Nash Editions is recognized as the world’s first professional fine-art digital printmaking studio. In 2005 Nash Editions was recognized by the Smithsonian Institution for its role in the invention of digital fine art printing. Nash has released several publications of his photography, including, Eye To Eye: Photographs by Graham Nash and Taking Aim: Unforgettable Rock ‘n’ Roll Photographs Selected by Graham Nash.In 2010 Love, Graham Nash was published. Love, Graham Nash is a limited edition two-book set which includes 17 sets of lyrics, a CD, 21 photographs by Nash, and is personally signed by Graham Nash, Stephen Stills, David Crosby, and Neil Young.

Graham Nash has just recently announced the first exhibition of his original artwork. The Art of Graham Nash will be presented later this month at Ocean Galleries in Stone Harbor,  New Jersey. The exhibition will include 91 of Graham Nash’s paintings, pastels, and artistically enhanced photographs. According to the gallery, there are a variety of techniques used in his artwork, many of them a natural evolution of  his experimentation with photography. Several of his pieces incorporate block print or newsprint, mixed with photography. The exhibition opens Thursday, June 28, 2012 and continues through Sunday,  July 8, 2012. Graham Nash will be at the gallery signing purchased artwork on Sunday, July 1 from 7:00 PM until 10:00 PM.
