Among the extensive collection of entertainment collectibles and memorabilia at the Julien’s Auctions Icons & Idols and Johnny Cash auctions is a large array of celebrity artwork. Two of the more rare and unusual items in the Icons & Idols auction are original color photographs taken by Frank Sinatra on March 8, 1971, at “The Fight of the Century” between Muhammad Ali and Joe Frazier at Madison Square Garden. According to the lot description, Sinatra was commissioned to photograph the fight by LIFE magazine and he later gifted his photographs to his friend, Jilly Rizzo.
