Late Beatles great John Lennon would have turned 70 this year. In celebration of his October 9 birthday, Pacific Edge Gallery is presenting what they are describing as a major exhibition of his artworks and lyric editions at the Crown Center in Kansas City, Missouri.

The exhibit will feature more than 120 framed limited edition serigraphs and lithographs of Lennon’s drawings and hand written lyric sheets. The exhibit will include 15 “Bag One” lithographs, individually signed by John Lennon. The exhibit opens Friday, October 8, 2010 and continues through Sunday, October 10.

According to Pacific Edge Gallery, in celebration of John Lennon’s 70th birthday, the Lennon Estate has released four new limited edition serigraphs: “Family of Peace”, “An Elephant Counting” , “A Cat Napping”, and  “Dream Power”. “Dream Power” is a sketch of John Lennon and Yoko Ono sitting under a tree, similar to the cover of John Lennon’s first solo album, Plastic Ono Band.
