Actress Eve Plumb, has been working in television, movies, and stage since the age of six. She is known to many as Jan Brady from her role in the 1970s TV sitcom The Brady Bunch. Eve Plumb is also an artist and has been painting steadily for more than 20 years. Plumb is self taught and focuses on still life for her subject matter, painting objects or moments from her everyday life and travels. She says, “My husband and I like to collect things, mainly vintage styled objects like pitchers, creamers, bowls, cups and saucers. I like photographing these vintage items we have around the house, such as coffee cups, and have branched out to restaurant scenes. I prefer to leave the objects arranged as I come upon them and paint them as I see them. It gives the painting a more casual, spontaneous look.”

An exhibition of Eve Plumb’s artwork will on display at Chasen Galleries in Richmond, Virginia. The show, “Kaleidoscope”, will open with a reception on Thursday, April 15, 2010. The exhibit continues through May 14, 2010.
